Crossing the Atlantic (and the Channel): The Compliance Checklist Every Furniture Buyer Asks Us First
Category: Trust / Qualification · By Vashone Technology Co., Ltd.
Before a single container ships, European and US buyers ask the same questions: Is the board certified? Are the chemicals compliant? Can you prove it on paper? Here is how we answer — and why it protects your shipment.
Compliance is not paperwork; it is the gate to the market. For the US, CARB Phase 2 (formaldehyde emissions) and California Prop 65 are the baseline. For Europe, REACH (SVHC restrictions) and wood-sourcing rules — with FSC chain-of-custody documentation on request — are what buyers expect.
What we provide with every order:
Certified panels — CARB Phase 2 / E0–E1 grade.
FSC-CoC documentation available on request.
REACH-compliant finishes, adhesives, and hardware.
Full material declarations and third-party test reports.
A certificate of compliance shipped with each batch.
Why this protects you: a single non-compliant component can mean a blocked shipment, a fine, or a recall. We build compliance into the bill of materials at the quoting stage — not after production. That means no surprise rework, and no customs hold because a document was missing.
Tip for new buyers: tell us your destination market and intended use (residential vs. contract / hospitality) up front. It changes the material specification, and we will quote accordingly — so the price you see already includes what clears customs.
Planning a compliant import? Send us your target market and product type, and we will return a spec sheet that is built to pass.
